The Industrial Design programme focuses on the design of products and processes. We design intelligent objects and user experiences which factor in cultural, social and ecological developments. Our core tasks include managing innovative materials in a sustainable manner and focusing on socially relevant topics. Our students design a hugely diverse range of product types, including smart tools and autonomous vehicles, sustainable furniture and sophisticated sports equipment.
The Master’s degree programme offers specialisations in Mobility Design and Eco-Innovative Design.
Cooperative projects offer a unique opportunity to bring together students’ visionary ideas and the expert knowledge of successful industrial partners. Students are supported by experienced lecturers from the field of industrial design. Recently, for example, cooperative projects were successfully completed with companies such as Leica, BMW, Bang & Olufsen, Philips, Kärcher, Bosch, Audi, Borealis, Porsche Design, KTM and Volkswagen.
