Occupational fields

Potential employers are all companies and organisations in the private and public sector that deal with the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of buildings and their technical building equipment. The tasks range from project development in the field of building technology and building management to independent planning, tendering, handling approval procedures, construction management, production, renewal, sale and distribution of building technology systems and/or individual components to technical and economic management including maintenance and safety management as well as life cycle management. A special focus is on the increased requirements for efficient and sustainable energy supply.

Building management
Project developer, operating engineer, facility manager, head of building management departments, security consultant, energy consultant/energy auditor for buildings and neighbourhoods

Research, development and training
Researcher and project manager for building technology systems and system solutions

Building services engineering
Planning engineer, project manager, head of building services engineering departments, construction manager, key account manager, consultant in the field of energy-efficient and sustainable buildings
